This video is from 2009, 9 years after the publishing of Tetrault's book. We were discussing in class change vs. persistence; this is proof that culture is ever evolving and the norms of society are changing as time goes by. It is now not only acceptable fro women to go out and vote, but also run and WIN a seat in the parliament. It is quite interesting to see that the first woman in this video did not only win, but was voted as the second most popular politician in Kuwait.
