French defense minister says that "Qatar is essential at this time" and that "this is the first time that there is such a high level of understanding between Europe and the Arab World." Qatar will also be hosting an upcoming "contact group" meeting between Western powers and Arab countries over the Libya conflict.
This is the most recent example we see of Qatar's global initiative to lead. Do you think it's involvement in Libya will have important consequences for the Arab world? Positive or negative.
