Al Dana -Reviving History in the Gulf

Hi Everyone!

It is evident that some Gulf countries are trying to revive their history. An example of that would be the Qatari government changing the national day from the 3rd of September to the 18th of December. This allowed Qataris to learn about Sheikh Qassim bin Mohammed who was the founding father of Qatar. Souq Waqif is another example as well. Saudi Arabia is also trying to do that. The Saudi government created a musical which talks about their history emphasizing on King Abdulaziz and his accomplishments. Moreover, the musical portrays a legendary horse called "Abeya" which won and witnessed several battles The whole musical was produced by Saudi citizens.
